Former President Peter Mutharika has expressed deep gratitude to God as he celebrates another year of life. Reflecting on this special occasion, Mutharika is reminded of God’s unwavering faithfulness and boundless love. He finds solace in the words of Isaiah 40:31, which state:
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint,” Mutharika said.
Mutharika acknowledges the challenges Malawi is currently facing but remains optimistic about the future. He uses this birthday as a moment to reflect on his journey and to express his trust in God’s guidance. He is hopeful that through collective effort and faith, Malawi will overcome its current difficulties.
"From the depths of my heart, this birthday has given me time to reflect. Malawi is enduring a trying period, and our people are facing tremendous challenges. Yet, despite these trials, I remain fiercely optimistic. I trust that God will grant us the strength to overcome and guide us through these difficult times as we unite to transform Malawi into a better nation. A better Malawi is coming in September 2025,"he said
Renewed in strength and filled with hope, Mutharika remains confident that a brighter future for Malawi is on the horizon. He calls for unity, driven by faith and determination, to realize this vision.
“Let us stand together, driven by faith and determination, to realize this vision. God bless you, and God bless Malawi,”he concluded.
