LILONGWE, (MaraviPost): Rihanna we are grateful you came into the world because you make our world and the lives of Malawi Kids better every day.
Since dropping your last studio album, “Anti,” in 2016, you have been busy. We hear you started a makeup brand and lingerie line. We also know you have taken on several acting roles, from blockbuster movies to indie films.
However, we are thankful that with this busy schedule you have time to cheer Malawi kids. You humbled yourself and surprised many of us when we saw you helping in building a hospital in Malawi.
Our eyes could not believe seeing you in working gear helping the laborer’s fetch sand and water.
You have visited Malawi not as a celebrity, but as the founder of the Clara Lionel Foundation and global ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education, to teach impoverished elementary-school children math in their classrooms (as well as to teach some simple reading exercises and to hang around the playground).
For All you do for Malawi we say Happy 32nd Birthday. Let’s light the candles as we celebrate this special day of your life.
