LUSAKA-(MaraviPost)-Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has inspected the ongoing construction works on the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway, one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure projects aimed at transforming transportation and stimulating economic growth.
The inspection underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring that strategic national infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest construction standards.
President Hichilema toured sections of the highway to assess the pace of construction and receive updates from engineers, contractors and government officials overseeing the project.
The Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway is regarded as a critical transport corridor linking Zambia’s capital, Lusaka, with Ndola, the commercial hub of the Copperbelt Province.

Once completed, the dual carriageway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Lusaka and Ndola while improving road safety for motorists and passengers.
