Boise Idaho See Spot Walk style!
BOISE, IDAHO – You could say on Saturday October 5th Julia Davis Park in Boise Idaho went to the dogs or was overtaken by dogs. Dog lovers and their Canine friends got together braving the chilly fall morning weather for a very good cause.
Friends and several thousand other dog lovers and their dogs got together to Fundraise to help the Idaho Humane Society care for animals all year long and win prizes! Dog lovers and their Canine friends were asked to walk a mile around the Park.
The goal was to raise $100,000.00. At the time we went to press over $87.000.00 had been raised…
Individual Walkers were asked to contribute $25 each.
The Maravi post was invited by eight friends, Joe Morgan, Brandy Chavez, Cathy Miller and Alicia Baker. Their Canine friends Rufus, mouthy Cooper, pretty Daisy and Zoe. Our Canines friends made a lot of friends, sniffing their new found friends and Marking territory all along the Park.
Brandy Chaves told the maravipost she has loved dogs ever since she was young. Bringing home stray dogs.
All in all it was a lovely morning a few of our Canine friends are well off for it.

Shaggy Dog Show – A huge success!
LILONGWE, MALAWI – Saturday 21st September is a day that will be remembered for a long time to come! As well as being a fun and exciting day, there were many wonderful results achieved for the LSPCA.
Thanks to the generous contributions of all the people and dogs that came, the LSPCA was overwhelmed to realize that more than 1,000,000MK had been raised to support the work they do in the Lilongwe area.
The Malawi Police held a Dog demonstration showing off the capabilities of the Canine Police officers
Throughout the day, all the competing dogs did amazingly well and lots of fun was had by competitors and spectators – there were a lot of very talented dogs in the Lilongwe district! At the end of the day it was Candy, Lauren Turk’s Jack Russell, who took out the grand prize as Top Dog in the 2013 LSPCA Shaggy Dog Show – but all the dogs that participated were champions to those watching.
