The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) will host a Stakeholder Dialogue on Hydrological Monitoring and Water Resources Management on 7 March 2025.

Now more than ever, reliable data and information on water availability, quality, regime and trends are essential for strengthening water security and enhancing resilience to extreme water-related events. This event seeks to foster dialogue between the Bank and its Regional Member Countries, emphasizing the urgent need to deepen understanding of hydrological systems and improve access to water resource information. It will also explore strategies and investment opportunities for advancing hydrological monitoring.
