Iranian ballistic missile attacks claim 10 Israelis lives, hundreds injured

A devastating wave of ballistic missile attacks launched by Iran on Israel has resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people, with hundreds more injured.

The attacks, which targeted civilian areas, have caused widespread damage and destruction.

In Bat Yam, a residential building was hit, killing six people, including children, and leaving seven others missing.

The building suffered significant damage, with part of it “shaved off” by the impact. Dozens of people were treated for injuries at Wolfson Hospital.

The attacks also caused damage to the Weizmann Institute of Science, with several buildings impacted and at least one laboratory catching fire. In Rehovot, 28 people were injured, with two of them seriously hurt.

Four children were among those taken to Kaplan Medical Center for treatment.

In a previous attack, four women were killed in the Haifa Bay area, with reports of a direct impact on a residential neighborhood in the Arab city of Tamra.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Home Front Command chief, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, emphasized the importance of following safety guidelines in such situations.

Bat Yam Mayor Zvika Brot described the scene as “significant damage to a central building and a number of buildings around it,” with emergency personnel working to locate trapped people.

The attacks have sparked widespread outrage, with Israeli officials condemning the deliberate targeting of civilian areas.
