Irish well wisher bails out Chisomo Children’s Club

LILOGWE (Maravi Post)–An Irish Well Wisher, Noel Whyty, has donated various humanitarian aid inform of clothes to Lilongwe based charity, Chisomo Children Club.It was all smile when a vehicle loaded with bails of clothes were arriving at the entrance of the Centre, which is a home to more than 50 children rescued from the streets of Lilongwe.

In an interview soon after the handing over ceremony, Whyty who is also founder and manager of Noel Whty Foundation, said he believe in God and that all is possible with God.

Whty said he is also a stronger believer of a giving hand than a receiving one.

Executive Director of Chisomo Children Club, Charles Gwengwe, commended Whyty for the gift which was wealth over K1.5Million.

Gwengwe said Chisomo Children’s Club is doing a lot in rescuing children from the streets.

“We are asking other organisations to do likewise. I know there are people outside with money, let them share with these children,” Said Gwengwe.

Some children from Chisomo, have since commended Whyty for the timely donation.

Chisomo Children Club was formed in early 2000 with an objective of advocating for the rights of the street children.

The organisation has currently partnered with the UK based Retrack in advancing the agenda of the streets kids in Malawi.

The organisation recently launched a K20Million resource centre project which is aimed at equipping rescued street kids with computer knowledge and skills.
