LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former Malawi and Mighty Wanderers Captain Joseph Kamwendo has said,his Academy has received a positive welcome by the general public.
Kamwendo has made the remarks two weeks after kicking off the operations of the academy. Currently the academy have forty (40) School going children with ages ranging from 7-14 and 17-20.
The activities of the academy are being conducted at Kamuzu Stadium from Fridays and Saturdays for Children of the ages 17-20 while for 14-17 the activities will be now taking place at Bedir International School in Blantyre on Saturdays and Sundays.
“The response has been overwhelming, Malawians have received the academy with a positive mind looking at the number of children we have now.We just appeal to parents and guardians to bring their wards to our academy for our goal to be achieved which is to produce many stars.
“We negotiated with our partners and agreed to accommodate us at Bedir International School which is a quite place and has International training facilities good for the children”, he added.
Former Nyasa Big Bullets midfielder Fisher Anong’a Kondowe and Coach Mario Gadanga are expecting to join the technical team at Joseph Kamwendo Academy.
Kamwendo says duo will also give morale to the children as they will be motivated being trained by people who made names in Malawian Football.
