LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former President Joyce Banda says has no political ambition to contest again for the Presidency in Malawi.
This comes after her predecessor Peter Mutharika of opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) showed interest to seek second mandate in 2025 presidential elections.

Former Malawi leader says she is satisfied with what she achieved during her two year term and passion is to initiate projects that would change lives of less privileged households.
Banda who is also People’s Party (PP) leader was speaking at the area of Chief Mnyanja in Kasungu where she met chiefs and their subjects on her community development Initiative earmarked for the area.
Among others, the project is expected to construct over 2800 houses, hospital and provide safe water under a Smart Village Project.
The project is to support beneficiary households to practice commercial farming.
The project is funded by Irise Home.
