Lilongwe based Kamuzu Barracks Gospel singers have announced to launch its Mulowelelepo CD album launch targeting cities of Zomba, Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
Kamuzu Barracks Music Director, Chimwemwe Binauli said all is set to launch their long awaited album and that the group is geared to minister through music as the country is facing economic hardships.
He said they are currently doing rehearsals in preparation of the forth coming tour saying people in all the venues should also expect to see how God has blessed them in as far as live performances are concerned.
“We are currently doing rehearsals to make sure that we are prepared enough to perform to the best of our abilities and we promise fireworks, people should come in large numbers to see Soldiers singing for the lord on top of serving the nation in the area of security” he said
The tour will start from their base, Lilongwe at Sheaffer ICA Marque on 3 March before hitting zomba at Gymkhana Club on 2 April and Robins Park in Blantyre on 3 April, there after they will end the tour on 10 April at Boma Park in Mzuzu.
Supporting them during the tour will be live performances of Ndirande Anglican Voices, Great Angels Choir, Ethel Kamwendo Banda, favoured Martha, Lloyd Phiri, Mlaka Maliro, Steve Muliya, Thocco Katimba, Princess Chitsulo, Marvelous Deeds P.O.V, Good Friday, Martha Kasambala and Donnex Muva among others.
Recorded at One heart studio and Groove Magic studio by Lloyd Phiri and Joseph Tembo Respectively, the album has songs like self Container, Mukhale nane, kulimbana nako, ndidzaima and dziko lapansi which are currently enjoying airplay in different radio stations and have received overwhelming response.
Admission fee in venues of Lilongwe and Blantyre will be K1 500 while Zomba and Mzuzu entry fee will K1 000 per head.
Kamuzu Barracks Singers started way back in 2012 and has 3 albums in credit.
