The last time I interacted closely with late Grace Chinga was 4 years ago at a wedding – Limbe Country Club; I was the Director of Ceremonies and she was the guest singer.
Close to 4 hours Grace sang some of the most popular gospel songs from her various albums.
In my 39 years as Director of Ceremonies during weddings, public functions or political rallies never had I seen a function so lively, it was more like a Christian Revival Crusade; Grace sang from her heart of HEARTS.
Since that time I have never doubted that Grace Chinga is one of Malawi best gospel singers with a class of her own.
It is unbelievable and shocking to hear the untimely passing on of late Grace Chinga.
Death is so cruel; why Grace Chinga, why Lord!
Malawi has lost a rare talent in gospel ministry.
Some situations leave us with a lot of questions without answers but we find solace in the word of God as it is recorded in the Holy Bible, the book of John 3 vs 16; Hymns of Malawi # 158 and Chitsitsimutso hymn # 18.
May the Almighty God give strength to the bereaved family as they pass through this very traumatic and shocking moment?
