NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-Founder Chairman and Group C.E.O Goldenscape Group Limited, Peter Wangai has been reportedly disappeared in thin air after collecting billions from a least 53 investors.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have confirmed the incident following complaints from several investors who were coaxed to invest in Goldenscape Greenhouse projects.

According to Pulse Kenya, the deal that was set to be sealed in last year November failed to materialize due to poor weather patterns and poor market uptake pushed the company to shift the dispersion of the payments to its investors to February 29th, 2020.

Reports have revealed that the company later sent amended contracts to the investors via email with reduced returns and reduced contract period. The company also closed its offices along Kimathi Street and at Karen in Nairobi and no office phone was working and with the whereabouts of the company’s CEO unknown since Monday, March 2, 2020.

The company however announced it was diverting to herbs farming in its last Facebook post that was posted on February 27th, 2020.

The company that started in 2014 has also been recently accused of issuing fake cheques to its investors despite promising annual returns of Sh550,000 for an investment of Sh320,000 in one of its investment packages .

Meanwhile, detectives from DCI have launched a manhunt for Goldenscape CEO Peter Wangai after they failed to catch him in his offices located along Kimathi Street Lower Kabete and Karen on Friday.
