NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-At least seven cars have been burnt beyond recognition in the raging inferno after truck ferrying gas cylinders caught fire along the Mai Mahiu Road on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Police said the trailer was speeding at the time of the incident which resulted in the driver losing control downhill and collided head on with a lorry before bursting into flames.

Seven private cars were among those reduced to ashes by the huge fire, although the exact number of those injured during the fire remains to be established.
The blaze from the burning truck has spread across the bushes and into homes adjacent to the road, Kenyans.co.ke reported.
Police officers from the Mutarakwa Police station are currently quickly moving motorists to safety as efforts to tow the trailer had began.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
The Mai-Mahiu stretch has become prone to accidents in recent years.
In November 2021, four people lost their lives, after four vehicles were involved in a tragic road crash at at Ntulele around 7p.m.
In March 2015, several cars were burnt down in a multiple car crash along the road.
This is after an oil tanker rammed into five vehicles before it burst into flames on the accident-prone road.
