ZOMBA (Maravi Post)—The Chancellor College Students who are protesting the fee hike imposed on them by President Peter Mutharika have currently met the full force of state machinery.

Meanwhile, our source on Campus is telling us that that running battles with the police are currently underway with the trigger happy Malawi police throwing teargas canisters on the Protesting students in order to disperse them.

The students are protesting the insensitive fee hike by the Peter Mutharika administration.

  1. Mr President just privatize the universities and the hospitals. Then government should privilege the poor with medical insurance coupons; councilors and parliamentarians should be fundraising for their poor/needy constituents to afford them college. Government shall award scholarships when funds are available; and we’ll have no strikes of this kind.I’m ready to buy the university colleges, bring it on!
