Malawi population has reached 17, 563, 498 million according to newly released preliminary results of the 2018 Population and Housing Census (PHC). The Statics shows that there are 9,042,293 Females and 8.521,456 Males in the Country.
The results were released Thursday (10.01.19) in Zomba by the Commissioner of Statistics, Mercy Kanyuka.
Southern Region: 7, 750, 629 (44 Percent)
Central Region: 7, 526, 160 (43 Percent)
Northern Region: 2, 286, 986 (13 Percent)
Male: 8.521,456
Female: 9,042,293
