Mpinganjira formally charged with three counts

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) this morning leveled three charges against business tycoon Thomson Mpinganjira.

The group chief executive officer of FDH Financial Holdings Limited has been charged with three counts which include offering an advantage of MK100, 000,000 to public officers on 21st October 2019, attempting to induce a public officer and attempting to induce a public officer to abuse public positions.

Following the legal proceeding, the business mogul also applied for a bail that has been presented by Senior Counsel Patrice Nkhono after a night long behind bars at Blantyre police station.

Senior Magistrate Simeon Mdeza who was hearing the bail presented by legal team representing Mpinganjira is expected to deliver the ruling at 3 PM this afternoon.
