LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Ministry of Tourism has informed Parliament that contraceptives have been administered to lions by the government to prevent an overpopulation in the country’s reserves.
Minister of Tourism,Vera Kamtukule revealed this in the August house on Wednesday February 19.
Members of Parliament (MPs) raised concerns about the state of national reserves, prompting Kamtukule to make the remarks.
Many MPs were surprised by the announcement, leading them to request clarification on how the contraceptives are being administered.
Kamtukule stated that she would give a complete explanation during her ministerial statement at a later time.
