Malawi national football team will camp on Sunday after caretaker coach Ernest Mtawali named a 25-man squad for a friendly game against Uganda on July 6 as part of independence celebrations at Kamuzu Stadium.
Mtawali has recalled Sankhani Mkandawire, Chiukepo Msowoya, Dave Banda and Mozambican based professional goalkeeper Simplex Nthala but there is no room for another Mozambique based professional goalkeeper Charles Swine who has part of the Cosafa team.
He has kept faith in the youthful players were part of his Under-20 national team such as Stanley Sanudi, Boston Kabango, Isaac Kaliati and Ernest Tambe
The coach who picked Gerald Phiri as assistant coach has also roped in former Bullets and national team midfield gem Chancy Gondwe as team manager.
