BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse adminstration has fired Public Relations Officer for Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rejoice Shumba.
Shumba is among victims of leadership change that her post could not
In a memorandum addressed to members of staff for the Ministry, Shumba has been removed from her post following the end of her secondment.
She has been replaced by John Kabaghe, assistant Director (Acting Head of planning and research) who is expected to be the interim spokesperson for the Ministry with immediate effect.
Shumba has therefore returned to her duty at Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC).
Following power change from Peter Mutharika’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to Chakwera’s Tonse, many have been victims of leadership change as their appointments for public office were not based on merit.
