Ndanga has commended media practitioners for the continued service during period where most professions are working from home to keep the nation informed.

She had however asked media houses to ensure both reporters and sources are protected from the pandemic by following health guidelines.

She has encouraged journalists to do telephone or questionnaire-based interviews as opposed to face-to-face interviews, observe social distancing where there is need for a face to face interview, especially for television journalists and avoid group interviews after a press conference.

MISA Malawi has also asked members of the press to only attend press conferences where all precautionary Covid-19 measures are in plac, wear face masks at the work place and on assignments and ensure gadgets are not being used by multiple individuals unless each has had to sanitize before and after using them.
