BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Chiradzulu East Joe Nomale was on Monday, January 3, 2022 arrested for allegedly beating his girlfriend for ending relationship.

According police report available to the Maravi Post, the suspect is currently being kept at Limbe Police Station.

It is alleged that the complainant by the name of Anne reported to Police that the said MP assaulted her after terminating the relationship.

The victim has since been referred to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) for treatment.
