MZUZU (MaraviPost): Malawi Police in Rumphi have arrested a woman, identified as Lucy Gondwe, 65 years for being found in possession of a riffle, Short Gun, Number 4521, Caliber 12 bores, make B. S. A. This occurred on 6 December, 2015.
According to reports to the Media, police officers on the mentioned date, were on operation when they found that the suspect was illegally possessing the firearms in question.
After investigations, The Police established that, the rightful owner of the rifle was the husband of the suspect, who died in September, 2014.
Enquiries on the matter are still in progress.
Lucy Gondwe hails from Chivwanyuma village, Traditional Authority Mwalweni in Rumphi district.
