LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Police in the capital Lilongwe have arrested a housemaid and the husband to the late Nomsa Mkandawire, on suspicion that they were involved in the death of the former journalist.
Central West Region Police publicist Alfred Chinthere has confirmed the arrest of Paul Taulo and Mary Eric.
Chinthere said he could not disclose further details as investigations are still under way.
But a relation to the deceased confided in that postmortem results revealed that Mkandawire died of food poisoning.
Nomsa Mkandawire, who worked for the United Nations Development Programme as Communications and Innovations Analyst, breathed her last in May this year after a short illness, hours after getting into the country on holiday.
