Malawi’s Prophet Shepherd Bushiri Using pulpit to support political point of View

Malawian Prophets no longer pretend to be neutral in their support for certain political parties. It appears some of them were expecting favors from Peter Mutharika and since none appear to be coming they are using prophesy or the pulpit to take their displeasure to the public.

The latest comes from Shepard Bushiri who according to Malawi24.com is reported during one of his teaching on the topic of Demonology and Deliverance that President Peter Mutharika submitted to the worship of the devil.

Malawi sold to the devil, Mutharika worships Satan – says Bushiri

According to the reporting on Malawi24, the Programme which was beamed on his Prophetic Channel on Monday, Bushiri who is celebrating his birthday, said good people or men of God cannot win election in the country because a certain ex-Malawi president sold the country to the devil.

Without mentioning the former leader Bingu, Bushiri insisted that no one can win the Presidency of this country unless they submit to the devil.

“This is why good people or men of God cannot win an election or will never win an election because of the covenant our nation made with the marine spirits,” Bushiri has been quoted as saying by a Malawi news network.

The self-acclaimed man of God said this is the reason Malawi is poor as it is under satanic influence.

The fun thing is that these utterings have a following on social media and beyond. It is really becoming very dangerous and almost borderline subversive to hear what these prophets and men of god are preaching in Malawi.

Another Prophet Austin Liabunya who prophesized the Zambian elections incorrectly in an article that was carried on The Maravi Post and went viral on social Media both in Zambia and Malawi, is predicting things like illness to the Malawi First Family.

It is a shame that we at the Maravi Post and other media carry these proclamations. However it is our duty as these prophets have such a following and influence making them news worthy.

However a bigger shame is that these men of god appear to be influenced by political motivations and personal gain.
