Lilongwe, May 28, 2015: Lilongwe Magistrate Court, Monday had given bail to a 25 years man who defiles two 8 years children in Area 18.
According to Lilongwe Police Publicists, Kingsley Dandaula the man has been defiling the children since April this year.
Dandaula identified the man as Kondwani Ulaya, from Jiya Village, Traditional Authority Nsomba in Blantyre.
Dandaula explained, “On the day of the arrest one child came home late from school and had no underwear which made her elder sister to be suspicious. When she tried to enquire where she was the child run to Ulaya’s house.”
He added that the elder sister went to Ulaya’s house where he found that he had locked himself together with the child.
According to Dandaula the elder sister notified her neighbours who went to Ulaya’s house and forced him to open the house and it was to the sister’s amazement to found out that the child came out putting own her underwear.
“When people quizzed the child, she reviewed that Ulaya was also defiling her friend and that he was giving them MK200 or MK150 when he sleeps with them,” he said.
After the child’s revelation, they took her and her other friend to Area 18 Health Centre for examination treatment where the results showed that the man started defiling the children in April.
Meanwhile the Lilongwe Police Publicist told Malawi News Agency (Mana) that Ulaya is answering defiling charges which is contrally to section 138 of the penal code whose maximum sentence is 14 years Imprisonment with Hard Labour (IHL).
The case will be back in court on 11th June 2015, according to Dandaula.
