Malawian Adventists in United Kingdom organize Annual day of fellowship

On Saturday or Sabbath the 18th of July 2015, hundreds of people will gather in Gloucester for a day of spiritual fellowship organized by Malawian Adventists in UK (MAU).

It is a big day for the Malawian Adventist Community in the UK as they gather from all corners of the UK and some from other parts of Europe to worship God. The event has grown in popularity since it launched over 7 years ago with people from other faiths and nationalities joining in to spend the day fellowshipping spiritually and socially with MAU members.

This is a once in a year event that is held every summer and is usually attended by over 300 people. It has previously been graced by powerful speakers from America, Malawi and other nationalities. This year the Guest speaker will be a powerful UK based evangelist, Pastor Ray Patrick. The theme for this year’s gathering is “The best place to stay”

The event will take place at the following address

The Crypt School,
Podsmead Road,
Gloucester
GL2 5AE

The program will start at 9:30 and finish at 17:00

This event is open to everyone who wishes to attend regardless of their faith or nationality. Food will be provided to all visitors and there will plenty of it. MAU has a membership of at least 150 active members in England, Wales and Scotland. The main objective of this group is to bring together seventh-day Adventists of Malawian origin living in the UK for the purposes of fellowship, spiritual growth, social support and consolidated support of Church projects in Malawi. Currently MAU is funding the online broadcasting service of Malawi Adventist Radio which can be found on tunein.com or app by typing Malawi Adventist Radio or www.live365.com/malawiadventistradio

On 14th June this year the Malawi Adventist community in the UK donated food packs containing maize, beans, packets of sugar and salt and a bottle of cooking oil worth MK2000,000 to 180 families in flood-ravaged areas of Nsanje and Chikwawa through Malawi Red Cross. This was in response to the disaster that ravaged our country a few months ago.

There are other groups within MAU that are supporting various projects in Malawi like The Wonderful Voices Choir and Forward for Christ (FCC) which supports evangelism. Other branches of MAU includes Malawian Adventists Youth in UK (MAYUK) and Malawian Adventist ladies in UK who also meet every year for spiritual retreats. The current President of MAU is Elder Steve Kazembe.
