LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)– In a rare collaboration, Afro Dance-hall artist Biggie Lu, real name Lumuli Mwamondwe, has roped in his latest song with a Zambian artists, General Kanene and PST in the track titled ‘Pamodzi’.
The song, which is a prelude to his single set to be released mid March was produced by Jerry Fingaz at Myuziki Pusha Entertainment Studios in Malawi.
Biggie Lu described the song as a milestone in his music journey, saying the track gives a platform of showing love to neighboring countries which have same similarities with Malawi.
“This is an appetizer as the song itself describes about the similarities we have as neighboring countries and how close we are. It’s all about love and no antagonism.
“We have the same language similarities, we do not need to hate each other, and we need to create a bond like no other. It’s almost a song that will connect boarders,” Biggie Lu says.
The singer, also known for the track ‘Ng’oma’ said such collaborations are very important because when artists embed their music in fellow musicians market, they are likely to get to learn how other counties make profits.
“It’s very important because it connects us to know how other music from other countries sell and make profits.
“In fact, it makes us understand the market out there on how to reach and approach,” Biggie Lu said.
On his part, Zambian heavy weight artists, General Kanene described the joint song as a great opportunity in exhibiting love to the neighboring countries.
“I have been yearning to work with Biggie Lu for some time and this is an opportunity to me. People should know that putting different minds together means a lot and this song will make people from Malawi and Zambia have something to love,” he said.
In a separate interview with the Producer, Jerry Fingaz described the song to be very good.
“It is a good track, and both Biggie Lu and General Kanene gave it all. I’m hoping people will appreciate it,” Fingaz said.
