BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-MEATCO halaal butchery and eat out plans to become the country’s major one stop super market offering wide range of food, meat and grocery products in order to meet the country’s ever increasing demand for quality products.
This comes following an out cry some consumers in the country have been raising regarding poor quality of some products being offered in shopping malls across Malawi that consumers have also complained of other super markets in the country over pricing their products.
But speaking during an interview, shop manager for MEATCO Blantyre shop , Odala Mnasira said as a newly established shopping mall they are striving to come up with a variety of new products at affordable prices.
He also said the shop is striving to offer best customer services with a seating and eating place at its branches.
Mnasira added that MEATCO’s idea of introducing a major one stop shopping mall comprising of a butchery, restaurant and a groceries sections is to offer convenient shopping experience to their customers who are expected to meet their needs at one place.
“MEATCO in general is a brand that specialises in meat products. We have a wide range of meat products hear such as beef, goat, chicken, lamb, fish, etc.However in trying to satisfy all our customers needs, we also have a groceries section within our shop stocked with a variety of local and imported products.
we also have a fast food restaurant with new food recipes. We have made our restaurant to be a place where friends , families and even owners of business can meet and share ideas. At MEATCO our priority is to serve people regardless of their status. This is why we try to make our prices as affordable as possible” said Mnasira.
Random interviews with consumers at MEATCO Blantyre and Ginnery Corner shops expressed satisfaction with the type of customer care, quality products and affordable prices being offered at the shopping mall urging authorities at the shopping mall not to relax once the shop is fully established.
They have described MEATCO as a place worth to be visited and its food service delivery being as the fastest as possible.
They mentioned hot dog burger which is one of the food products being offered at its restaurant as being of high quality.
MEATCO halaal butchery was established in 2019 and currently has two shops in Blantyre’s Central Business District and the Ginnery Corner’s area.
Meanwhile authorities at MEATCO have disclosed plans to establish another shop in Limbe later this year before rolling out in other shops in other districts.
MEATCO shopping mall adds the number of super markets, the country has apart from Chipiku, Shoprite and Sana among others a development some economic commentators in the country have argued is likely to enhance competition on the market.
