BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-National bank of Malawi on Sunday, July 13, 2020 closed Chichiri service centre in Blantyre to disinfect the area after a number of staff members tested positive to Covid-19.
In the statement issued July 11, 2020 that bank revealed that the service centre shall remain closed for 14 days to ensure the safety of the employees and customers once they are back in operation.
It has also said all staff members at the service centre will be asked to be on self quarantine and a second negative test to be administered to those that tested negative after the 14 days period and prior to reopening of the service centre.
The bank has said those that tested positive will only be allowed to return to work after they fully recover from the virus following a certified negative test results from the Blantyre District Healthy Office.
The bank has urged all the customers use the digital channels in accessing the bank services and use other centres in Blantyre during this period when Chichiri service centre has cease to be in operation.
