Malawi’s singer Joe Kellz raises bar on Climate Change

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)- As the effects of climate change continue to hit the country hard, singer-Joe Kellz born Kelvin Jonathan Pangani has today-October 2, 2020 released a song advocating for environmental issues.

This is in response to United Nations Sustainable Goal Number 13 which calls for an Urgent action towards climate change.

The song dubbed ‘Nyengo’ -Compares the old climate to the present change with an emphasis on how the present climate is negatively affecting daily living.

Produced by Lilongwe based Sam Banda and D Wine zamapemba the song also calls for unity in a fight to combat climate change.

According to the versatile acoustic performer-Joe Kellz Musicians in the country have a role to play in advocating for things that affects their society.

“Climate change is a global challenge, it is real, the future of our planet is at stake. There is a need to advocate for such issues through music,” said Joe Kellz

Meanwhile, Malawi Scotland Partnership under it’s project Climate Change Young leaders project- has endorsed the song to be used in all it’s activities.
