MZUZU-(Maravi Post)-Upcoming R n B artist Crimson North who by real name is Vitumbiko Chirwa based in Chilimba Blantyre has connections with a Nigerian producer through his oversea bloggers that got him attracted to a Nigerian producer and the Nigerian record label One African Network
In an interview on Monday the artist said it is through his bloggers that have given him an opportunity to rub shoulders with a Nigerian producer who was releasing an Extended Playlist (EP) with 13 African countries in which he was reached to represent Malawi.
“I’m an upcoming artist its only now that l have gained a lot of attention with the blog posts with my bloggers that has connected me to an outside producer after releasing a number of songs and two projects Ep’s namely the Unplug the beast and project avenue,” said Crimson North.
The artist said has at least 6 features that are bouncing including one with Ikon Emcee and this year he has dropped a single.
“New Religion” produced by Dingiswayo Nyirenda a sound Engineer from Blantyre which is soon to be released in an audio format.
Crimson also disclosed that being an upcoming artist it’s a great achievement being connected with an outside producer adding that being chosen to be one of the artist to represent Malawi on an international level were different Africans will be present.
One Time Entertainment (O.T.E) founder Justin Maziya, Crimsons’ manager’ also known as Jay-cloy’ says personally saw energy, dedication, love and potential Crimson North’s had towards music that moment knew he would work together with him in order to create a star in Malawi as well as outside countries and put Malawian music industry on the map.
“As a producer I believe in grooming upcoming artists, I want to build in him an artistic skills which are different from other artists,
“Most Malawian artists their main goal is to make a name for them.But in my opinion, I urge all artists in general to have a business mindset, the music they are making can bring a lot on their table if handled well,” Maziya said.
Furthermore Maziya urged fans out there not to take music industry for granted as it is like any other professional one has and to treat artists with ultmum respect because they invest a lot like any other business.
He also asks government officials to consider music industry and help in any way they can, he concluded.
