BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Veteran comedian Elson Soko popularly known as Anyoni on the lead actors of MBC radio 1 skit ‘pamajiga’ is unwell due to a heart condition.
Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) director General Aubrey Sumbuleta led the MBC officials to cheer him up at his residence in Machinjiri township in Blantyre ,
The team presented assorted items like cooking oil, eggs, sugar, salt, milk including cash.
On his part Soko said he has been part of MBC for a very long time and the journey with MBC has been interesting.
He further said, with the love and support that MBC has rendered to him he is hopeful that he will get better soon.
“With your support, I am hopeful that I will get better so that I may continue where I stopped, “said Soko.
Sumbuleta told Maravi Post that Soko has played an important role in educating, entertaining, and informing the public for a long time, hence the need to be by his side.
The director General then assured that he would ensure the artist is sent to a good hospital.
“As MBC we shall discuss with our mother ministry on how best we can help and take him to a good hospital anf we are optimistic that with the intervention he shall be back on his feet and continue serving the country, “he said.
The actor has been sick for a while.
