Police in Lilongwe have netted Earnest Malola who has been disguising as special assistant to President Peter Mutharika.
Malola was arrested on Friday on alleged swindling of K400, 000 from two different People. In April Mr Malola is alleged to have swindled Maggie Banda who works for Golf Club as accounts clerk.
Malola is said to have told Maggie that he had a truck of maize for sale.Police have Been hunting for him but he was shielded by other politically connected people.
Malola also sold quarry stones belonging to daughter of Lilongwe City Mayor Willie Chapondela.
Malola was taken to court on Friday to answer charges of obtaining money by force pretense. When Maravi Post contacted Lilongwe Police publicist, Kingsley Dandaula phone went unanswered
Malawi Police Service in June arrested another suspect who had been walking and running up and down in the capital City Lilongwe, Mzuzu and Blantyre claiming to be the main man in arranging presidential appointments.
National Police Spokesperson Rhodah Manjolo,identified the suspect as Yotani Mhango.
