NSANJE-(MaraviPost)-The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Governor for the South Charles Mchacha has urged people of Lower shire to go in large numbers to vote for President Peter Mutharika in Tuesday fresh presidential election.
Mchacha who was in a accompany of business Tycoon Leston Mulli popularly known as Captain G. said this during DPP- UDF alliance whistle stop tour in Nkhate and Fatimain the district of Chikwawa and Nsanje respectively on Friday.
Mchacha who is also minister of lrrigation and Water Development said president Mutharika has lined up a number of development projects in the 2029-2021 national budget.
“President Mutharika has set aside MK31 billion in this year’s budget for irrigation farming in the country that includes rehabilitation of Nkhate irrigation scheme,” Mchacha said.
During the whistle stop tour Mchacha warned the people against voting for greedy opposition politicians who have no welfare of Malawians but enriching themselves.
Taking his turn Captain G. Leston Mulli called upon the gathering to rally behind Mutharika and Atupele Muluzi on Tuesday’s election.
The whistle tour was also attended by some DPP senior officials among them Director of Women South, Mary Nachuma and Nsanje North member of parliament Esther Mcheka Chilenje.
