LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Vendors from Mchinji Boma, Villa FC on Thursday traveled all the way from the western boarder district to Salima to attack Airborne Rangers FC at home.
Villa FC who lost in the first leg at home Mchinji 3-1 to the Flying Lions, came with a revenge mission and attacked so aggressively as they searched for early goals in the hands of the group C leaders.

Jafallie John,Mazunzo Banda and Dominic Phiri scored for Villa FC while Dennis Yawali and Chancy Mphanga scored for Airborne Rangers FC at 24th and 77th minute.
This is the second defeat of the season for Salima based Soldiers who also lost to Green Rangers FC 0-1 at SOS ground in Lilongwe four days ago.
Despite the defeat Airborne have finished as group C leaders with 32 points from 14 games.
The win for Villa FC have sent them back to position 2 where they stayed for some time.They have collected 21 points from 13 games,winning 6 times,drew 3 and lost 4 games.Their last game of the first round is against another Salima based Soldiers Support Battalion FC at home Mchinji Community ground.
Wilson Magombo, Villa FC Head Coach, was delighted with the victory and attributed it to hardworking spirit among the boys.
He said,now they have confidence to qualify to the second round of the league as they have sealed a second slot in the group, He vowed to prepare well against Support Battalion and win the home game to finish with 24 points which he said will increase the momentum amongst his charges.
David Kachingwe, Airborne Rangers FC interim coach, described the loss as painful, saying losing back to back in four days period is bad to a team of Airborne Rangers FC caliber.
“At times you give instructions to players and they don’t follow them,it happens in a game of football. We will go back to the drawing board and rectify those weaknesses ahead of second round and Nyasa Capital Finance Cup.The loss has given us food for thought as we prepare to meet stubborn LUANAR FC in cup game”, Kachingwe was quoted.
Silver Strikers Reserve FC and Kamuzu Barracks RSV FC equalled power 0-0 in the game played at Maliri ground. The Young Bankers have 24 points now from 13 games on position 2 while Kamuzu Barracks RSV are sitting on position 5 with 20 points from 13 games in group B.
St Gabriel Medicals FC was humiliated by Simbi FC at Mchinji community ground 3-1.Medicals scored through Madalitso Maloya at 9th minute in the first half before Simbi FC scored through Innocent Phiri a brace and Walusungu Chommo in the 24th,80th and 82nd minute respectively.
Despite the win Simbi FC have failed to make it into the top 4 in group B,they have managed to collect 17 points from 14 games and dwell on position 6.
Medicals have 22 points from 14 games and are on position 3.
The games for week 23 continues on Saturday and Sunday,Kawinga FC host Dedza Young Soccer at Maliri ground on Saturday, Mkanda Youth FC host highly spirited LUANAR FC at Mchinji community ground while Wimbe United FC entertain Green Rangers FC at Kasungu Stadium.
On Sunday Villa FC host Support Battalion FC at Mchinji Community ground, Mitundu Strikers FC will battle it out against Silver Strikers Reserve FC while Panthers FC will be in a do or die situation against Kamuzu Barracks RSV FC, if they win on Sunday, will survive from the chop in the league but if they lose then they will be buried.
