MCP VP Sidik Mia in triple impact: Balaka prayers; Zomba commissions borehole, massive rally

In the strides of giant, Malawi Congress Party (MCP) First Vice President, Muhammed Sidik Mia was at beginning of the  week captured in a powerful triple impact activities in the two Eastern Region Districts of Balaka and Zomba.

 

It all started on the morning of Sunday when he was special guest at Destiny Ministries International Church in Balaka where he hailed the church leadership for embarking on a multi-million Kwacha church building project with funds realized from self generating initiatives.

 

Mia commended the spirit of honesty and transparency among the members of the building committee and the entire membership.

 

Said Mia: “I’m impressed that you embarked on such an ambitious and  magnificent project without depending on donor support but with funds from your own pockets through the spirit of self-help.”

 

He added: “Malawi as a nation could have far developed if its leaders and those responsible in handling projects money could only live with such a spirit of not stealing from the project but put every dime realized to the intended purpose.”

 

Later in the afternoon, the main opposition political party’s Veep tread the ground of Zomba Malosa where in water scarcity zone, he commissioned a water kiosk which he drilled with funds from his own pocket.

 

Shortly afterwards, the political guru held a politcal rally in Zomba Nsondole constituency.

 

Before unveiling the youthful MCP Parliamentary candidate, Youngstone Timuyambe, Mia told the multitudes that he was about the experiences of hunger that the majority of the population were facing.

 

He therefore assured that, once MCP assumes power next year through the May, 2019 polls, the party will  introduce universal subsidy to ensure that poor farmers are able to buy the Agricultural inputs.

 

He told the fishing communities of the area (who for the past years have been depending on Lake Chilwa but has since dried up) that MCP will ensure coming up with alternative ways of empowering the economically handicapped category of men and women.

 

In his emphasis of servant leadership, Mia said the MCP leadership of Lazarus Chakwera and himself, Sidik Mia is the only leadership that will ensure that Malawians nolonger have bossy leaders but rather, true servants of the people.

 

Said Mia: “We are the duo of a veteran cleric and a Muslim Sheikh, with whom you can rest be assured that, will bring sanity in a government, which is currently rocked with the alleged theft, corruption, tribalism and nepostism, just to mention a few.”
