BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Eliza Mponya a gospel artist and a magic promotion award winner, follows the steps of her father, Pastor Madalitso Mponya of Apostolic church of Pentecost, preaching the words of God through Music.
Mponya is not only an artist but also a business lady running a day care school called JIREH private school which is located in Machinjiri area 1 in Blantyre.
She is 29, born in a Christian family of six children; three women and three men. started singing at Sunday school when she was at a very tender age with her sister Triza Mponya.
“My father being a pastor, I was motivated to start a choir at my father’s church accompanied by my sister we both got saved when we were young.”she says.
Since in 2005 Mponya and her sister Triza started composing songs and singing together until the year 2010 when her sister left for South Africa chasing her destiny.
“Ndine nfulu was our first song together with my sister Triza, it came out the best and that is the album that I like the most,” Eliza adds

However, she did not stop pursuing her dreams as a gospel singer, Mponya managed to compose her first song as “Eliza Mponya” called ‘ Mulolelanji’ in 2006 and got her first Magic Promotion Award in January 2017 and nominated as the best female artist at Gesu awards in November 2018.
In her music career she said to have met a lot of challenges which she called ‘personal’ but as a Christian she is encouraged to go forward.
“I met a lot of challenges and I still meet a lot of challenges in my music career but I believe that for one to be successful one has to meet a lot of challenges in life and find ways to overcome the challenges. I had and still have every courage to move on with my career even though I meet different obstacles in my life,’’ she added.
To all her fans, Mponya is promising to bring out the best this year as she has big plans to grow her music empire and she believes a lot have been transformed through her songs for the message is strong and gives hope to the children of God. she has recorded 11 songs,3 singles and 1 album.
She is currently in the studio recording a new album that she wants to release this year.
As a single mother Eliza gives praises to God and thank her sisters and her brother Andy Mponya as he is her producer and he owns a music studio called Mponya records situated in Machinjiri for the courage that presented to get where she is today.
