Mr Kena Mphonda was appointed as the new High Commissioner for Malawi to the UK.
The new High Commissioner, Mr Mphonda will visit Scotland on Wednesday 29th July 2015 to meet with the Scottish Government, Parliament, and SMP Members and the Malawian diaspora community.
Members of the Malawi Diaspora community are invited to a lunch with the High Commissioner 12.30 – 14.00, 29th July, in the Edinburgh City Chambers (St Giles Room), and are very welcome to also stay for a roundtable if they wish.
Members of the Scotland Malawi Partnership are also invited to take part in a roundtable meeting with the High Commissioner 14.15 – 16.15 , 29th July, in the Edinburgh City Chambers (Mandela Room).
The Scotland Malawi Partnership organization is encouraging members to attend this meeting as this will be a key opportunity to represent their work, to discuss challenges and opportunities, and to plan future joint-projects.
