BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—After days of speculation of change of coaching panel in Mighty Be Forward Wanderers family due to woeful performance in the TNM Super League, Jack Chamangwana has finally been fired, Maravi Post has learnt.

Last season, under the guidance of the current assistant coach Elia Kananji, Wanderers club was riding high.  It hoisted the Carlsberg Cup and coach Kananji was doused with celebratory comments in the Nomads’ house.

But Kanji was demoted to assistant coach as he is under qualified as per Football Association of Malawi’s requirements and Chamangwana took over the mantle.

Chamangwana’s leadership has seen the Lali Lubani road side losing glory in football circles following its dismal performance in the league.

The Nomads have just won one game from the five games they have played, drawn thrice and lost once thereby leaving the club with no option but to send the coach packing.

Commenting on the sacking, Wanderers’ general secretary Mike Butao said “the poor results are unacceptable” in an apparent confirming that Chamangwana deserves the chop.

According to Butao, Chamangwana has now been moved back to the position of Technical Director.
