BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-This year’s Football association of Malawi (FAM) Ecobank charity shield scheduled for 4 – 5 April has officially been launched.
The colorful event took place on 11th March 2020 at Ecobank head office in Blantyre.
Speaking at the event Ecobank head of commercial Victoria Chanza said the bank decided to sponsor this year event after observing that last year’s proceeds from the games were used for a noble cause.
FAM president Walter Nyamilandu applauded the bank for coming up again this year to sponsor the charity shield.
Nyamilandu stated that sponsorship package will go a long way to meet the costs of hosting this year’s event.
Ecobank have increased this year package to MK18 million from last year’s MK12 million.
During the draw Giants Nyasa big were paired against their sworn rivals lali lubani outfit Mighty be forwarded wanderers.
While silver strikers will face area 30 cops blue eagles. However, venue for this year’s event will be communicated later.
