Dust refuses to settle in the governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regarding results in its on going primaries elections with the latest being that of Karonga northwest constituency where the former member of parliament Green Mwamondwe  has vowed to challenge results that has seen incumbent MP James Kamwambe triumph in the primaries.

Kamwambe was unofficially declared after amassing 1279 against 67 of Mwamondwe.

Speaking in an interview the former diplomat to Zimbabwe, accused his competitor for handing out cash and bribing the delegates by among others ferrying them to the venue using his personal vehicles.

“I think I have enough reasons and evidence to go and challenge the results going by what my rival did I strongly believe that,” he said.

He added, the behavior portrayed by his competitor influenced the elections towards his favour hence he is challenging the elections.

However reacting to Mwamondwe’s accusations the incumbent MP Kamwambe, has laughed off the claims Saying those are words of a sore loser.

“Let him bring the evidence forward I challenge him otherwise I won fair and square no doubts,” said a confident Kamwambe.

During the recent primaries James Kamwambe received 1279 votes, Green Mwamondwe got 67 votes and Dave Sichone pulled 24 votes.
