MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-There was a parade that brought pomp and celebrations in the city of Mzuzu Saturday ahead of a vibrant campaign launch rally of Tonse alliance scheduled to be held at Mzuzu Upper Stadium on Sunday, May 10, 2020.
The parade which started from the Katoto ground going around the streets of Mzuzu aimed at publicizing the mega rally to be addressed by the torchbearer of the Tonse alliance Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his running mate Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima at Mzuzu Upper Stadium.
The parade led by the commander in chief of the Citizens For Transformation (CFT) Timothy Mtambo sent had messages of peace and oneness.
In his speeches, Comrade Mtambo told the people of the North that CFT is aiming at removing all the thieves in the government and bring in servant leadership of Dr. Chakwera and Dr. Chilima. Mtambo said Chakwera and Chilima will develop Malawi.
He wondered why Mzuzu is still underdeveloped yet it is called a city. Mtambo also said the loans being promised by DPP are just daylight cheating.
Mtambo who reminded the people of how they have suffered under leadership of Peter Mutharika citing the teargassing of innocent people and demonstrations as part of fighting for justice.
CFT leader therefore requested the people to vote for the Tonse Alliance on July 2, 2020 fresh presidential elections.
The parade had stops at Mzuzu main market square, Mzuzu bus depot gate, Car park square, hardware market, Taifa market.
