NCIC Cheer Children at Missionaries Charity Orphanage in Lilongwe

Good news could not be sweeter than that of recent development when the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi (NCIC) knocked at the door of Missionaries Charity Orphanage in Lilongwe to cheer children housed at the centre.

Chief Executive Officer for NCIC Linda Phiri said the Council gesture was aimed at promoting love to each other, they decided to cherish children at the orphanage.

 

“We decided to present the gift as a way of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ during this festive season. Among the items we brought are; Milk, Likuni Phala, Bales of Sugar and Blankets worth K500, 000 contributed by staff and NCIC as an office”, she said.

She said most of the children come from poor family back grounds and that it would have very difficult for them to celebrate with others hence presenting various gifts to children.

She also expressed shock and lamented that was greatly touched with how orphan children suffers to access basic needs. Therefore, she assured the public that NCIC will continue to visit similar orphanage places as it was the first time to chat with orphan children.

Meanwhile, she urged children to work hard so as to become productive citizen in Malawi. The NCIC is Construction registered board with a mission to actively promote the development of a competitive, competent, updated, creative and innovative construction industry through the provision of short courses for continuous professionals at all levels in the Construction Industry.
