Despite it being hours until Brits celebrate the New Year, some countries are already nearing midnight
Countries across the world are celebrating as they wave goodbye to 2018 and welcome the new year.
Stunning firework displays have already been seen in Samoa, New Zealand, Sydney and Hong Kong as millions gather to watch and celebrate.
The Sydney display lasted over 12 minutes – the fireworks being set off throughout the whole harbour and bay.
Incredibly, American Samoa, which is just 163km from Samoa who entered 2019 first, is the last to celebrate and will have to wait until 11am tomorrow in UK time.
With 38 different local times in use, it takes 26 hours for the New Year to encompass them all.
