ABUJA-(MaraviPost)-One man has been gunned down while four others in custody following a failed bank robbery Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory in Mpape, Abuja.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma, confirmed the incident
“It is a foiled bank robbery; We stopped the robbers from raiding the bank. Four men were arrested while a suspect was killed,” he said.
According to reports, the robbers were trapped in the banking hall for many hours following the arrival of the police who surrounded the building. When they refused to surrender the police operatives stormed the hall, killing one of the gang members in the process.
Many people rushed to the scene of the crime that is located on a hill causing traffic congestion.
