Pastor Kawinga, Gama donate MK5m to Area 18 cemetery guards

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Apostle Clifford Kawinga of Salvation for all ministries and Reverend Yasin Gama of Mvama CCAP have donated various assorted items worth over MK5 million to Area 18 Cemetery caretakers which is under Lilongwe City Council.

Donating the items, Clifford Kawinga said they decided to honor the caretakers lauding them for recommendable job.

He said the package includes,bicycles, maize flour, cooking oil, soap and clothes an MK250,000 to each family as a capital for a small business to boost their family income.

In his remarks, Reverend Gama has described the cemetery caretakers as legends which are supposed to be honored.

“Their duties are not recognised by many yet even during COVID-19 they risked their lives,” he said.

Receiving the Donation one of the workers,Jason Dipoziti who have worked with City assembly for 31 years appreciate the donation of assorted items .

Bikoziti said the job has been good though COVID-19 brought fears in derivering their duties.

“COVID-19 instilled fears in us day in and out but we had to do our job to serve others,” said Bikoziti.

On his part, Lilongwe City Mayor, Councillor Richard Banda applauded the two religious leaders for the donation saying will motivate to the cemetery guards.

“We believe that alot of people will come in after the two religious leaders take a leading role in honouring the undertakers,” said Banda.
