BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-One of the country’s top betting companies PremierBet Malawi on Thursday launched its largest gaming centre in Africa in Limbe, Blantyre.
The centre can accommodate up to 100 customers at a time, a major upgrade from smaller shops that typically serve less than 10 customers.
In an interview with journalists, Community Manager at PremierBet Hamza Mgaye said the centre will also host Premier Lotto draws, which have been revived by the company.
On his part, Director of Operations at the Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority (MAGLA),Lawrence Chikoko noted that the centre’s launch signals growth in the country’s gaming industry.
However, Chikoko cautioned against irresponsible betting, advising patrons to set budgets and gamble responsibly.
“People should budget their time and money, and gamble with their heads, not their wallets,” he said.
The launch event featured a performance by the company’s brand ambassador Eli Njuchi, who entertained the crowd with hits like ‘Tempolale’and ‘Gugugu’.
