State House wishes to inform the public that His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi, has canceled his scheduled trip to Maputo, Mozambique.
The President was expected to travel to Mozambique tomorrow, Thursday January 15, 2015, to attend the inauguration of the country’s President elect, His Excellency Filipe Nyusi.
The President’s decision to cancel the trip is due to the prevailing #Malawifloods situation in this country.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hon. Dr. George Chaponda (MP) who is already in Maputo will represent His Excellency President Mutharika at the inauguration.
