BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Reunion Insurance Company Limited, a first-class provider of general insurance services in Malawi proudly commemorates its 20th anniversary under the theme “20 Years of Trust, Innovation and Excellence”.
The milestone celebration was marked by grand ceremony featuring recognition of founding board members, long serving employees, and a series of impactful philanthropic initiatives reflecting the company’s commitment to community development and sustainability.
As part of celebrations, Reunion Insurance presented special awards to its inaugural board members in recognition of their pioneering vision, leadership, and significant contributions to the company’s formation and growth.
The event also saw long serving employees and founding members being honoured for their unwavering dedication and loyalty – an acknowledgement of the vital role they have played in building a resilient and customer – focused institution.
Demonstrating its strong sense of corporate social responsibility, Reunion Insurance rolled out several philanthropic initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and promoting environmental sustainability.
The firm carried three key activities including donation to Chichiri Prison: The company donated 100 bags of maize flour valued at almost MK5,000,000.00 reinforcing its commitment to addressing food insecurity among marginalized populations.
Secondly the company ventured into Lingadzi River Tree Restoration Project: In collaboration with Centre for Applied Analysis/GLFx, Reunion Insurance contributed MK2,500,000.00 towards the reforestation of the Lingadzi River Banks, an effort that promotes environmental conservation and climate resilience.
Lastly, the company also initiated the support for vulnerable children and visually impaired: A further MK1,000,000.00 was donated to Ekwendeni School for Visual Impairment and Learning Difficulties, supporting education and child welfare.
