The National Product Magazine (NPM) Mid-Year Awards and 115th Edition is set to take place on June 21, 2025, at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe, Malawi. This highly anticipated event has drawn participation from 20 companies across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

The awards ceremony is themed “Connecting Industries, Fueling Exports: Enhancing Malawi’s Forex Reserves through Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Transport,” aiming to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements in sectors vital to Malawi’s economic growth.

With over 80 companies nominated for various awards, 70% of which are from Malawi and 30% representing countries such as Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and other SADC nations, the competition is fierce.

According to NPM Executive Director Arthur Chinyamula, public voting has been finalized, and preparations are well underway for the ceremony.

The awards aim to promote top-performing businesses and encourage regional collaboration to boost Malawi’s foreign exchange reserves.

Chinyamula emphasized that the event is designed to foster economic growth and development in Malawi by recognizing and celebrating outstanding achievements in critical sectors.

By promoting regional collaboration, the awards seek to create opportunities for businesses to network, share ideas, and explore new markets.

The participation of companies from across the SADC region is a testament to the growing recognition of Malawi as a hub for business and innovation.

The event will provide a platform for companies to showcase their products and services, share best practices, and learn from each other’s experiences.

The NPM Mid-Year Awards have become a significant event in Malawi’s business calendar, attracting top companies and industry leaders.

The event will feature a range of awards, including those for women entrepreneurs, who are increasingly making a significant impact in various industries.

The awards ceremony will be a night to remember, with a red-carpet gala and a performance by Malawian music icon Lulu.
